The HOST Cocktail Shaker was designed for our HOST brand, with the home mixology enthusiast in mind. This project began with the idea of building different functionalities in one single unit. Since citrus plays such a big part in cocktails, we knew we wanted to incorporate a citrus reamer in a cocktail shaker and continued from there. It required balance to build these different functionalities without sacrificing the performance of each element. It was also important that we maintained a shape familiar to the end user. The HOST Cocktail Shaker is designed to extract and combine all core components of a well balanced drink: spirit, citrus, sugars, bitter and water. We chose Tritan, a clear plastic allowing the cocktail shaker to showcase its ingredients, while remaining durable. We wanted to respect the art of cocktail tradition, while leveraging modern materials.
